For the set, we used Julia's front patio. The reason for this included the doors, the swing set, the stairs, and the fact that it was outside. It being outside inferred that the scene was taking place in a public setting, which in the book, it is. The front doors to her house were also an influential factor as to why we used this set. The front doors were where the Prince, Lady Capulet, and Lady Montague were coming from. When Mercutio dies as well, Benvolio takes him to a house, and there was a door near the patio that inferred this was where Benvolio was taking Mercutio. The swing set is where Romeo goes when he flees the scene of Tybalt's death. He is distracted by the potential fun the swing set could provide, and then runs away and into the open field. The stairs provide an exit and entrance for the characters, and a nice transition to and from certain places.
